Health is an investment in human capital and social and economic development, towards the full realization of human potential. Health is also critical to eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, ensuring quality education, achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment, providing decent work and economic growth, reducing inequalities, ensuring just, peaceful, and inclusive societies, and building and fostering partnerships.
To this end, the Health Working Group considers that the countries of the Americas must prioritize and sufficiently finance this area. Likewise, collaboration between public and private health systems and policies that unlock the transformative power, scale, and expertise of the private sector and civil society to help drive resilient, inclusive, sustainable, and equitable health economies and ecosystems.
