Back-to-back to the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Boards of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Inter-American Investment Corporation, and the Mesoamerican Business Forum, Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the IDB, and Ricardo Martinelli, President of Panama (host-country of the 2015 CEO Summit of the Americas), co-hosted a high-level business breakfast to discuss the results of the First CEO Summit of the Americas of 2012 and the importance of moving forward a strong public-private dialogue in the region.

A group of major business associations from the region met in Lima to discuss the role of business associations and the private sector in a regional public-private dialogue, and to build consensus around the initiative’s goals. The meeting had the participation of the Presidents and high-rank representatives of the following business associations: ANDI (Colombia), CNI (Brazil), CCE (Mexico), CONFIEP (Peru), USCC (USA), CONEP (Dominican Republic), CACIF (Guatemala), Fedecamaras (Venezuela), UCCAEP (Costa Rica), and COSEP (Nicaragua).

The President of the Inter-American Development Bank, Luis Alberto Moreno, and the President of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli co-hosted a high-level business breakfast at Panama’s Presidential Palace, gathering a group of high-level CEOs and heads of business associations. The event took place back-to-back to the VII Americas Competitiveness Forum where the initiative was presented to leaders of some of the major Caribbean business associations.
